Priyal Yadav: From Academic Setbacks to Administrative Success. A Farmer’s Daughter Rises to Leadership

Rising Above Adversity

Many success stories go viral on social media, highlighting individuals who have overcome poverty and challenging circumstances to achieve greatness through sheer determination. Among these inspiring tales is the journey of Priyal Yadav, the daughter of a farmer, who transformed setbacks into triumphs.

A Farmer's Daughter with Big Dreams

Born into a rural family where girls often marry young, Priyal was fortunate to have supportive parents who prioritized her education over societal norms. Her father, a farmer, and her mother, a housewife, encouraged her ambitions, allowing her to pursue a career instead of early marriage.

The Road to Success

Despite initial academic struggles—including failing in the 11th grade—Priyal never lost sight of her dreams. She tackled the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examination with unwavering determination, securing the sixth rank and earning the prestigious position of Deputy Collector in 2021.

Academic Setbacks and the Fight for Excellence

Priyal, a top performer until grade 10, faced an unexpected setback in grade 11 when she failed Physics—a subject she lacked interest in but had chosen to study alongside Chemistry and Mathematics. The failure was a shock, but it ultimately fueled her resolve to push forward.

Climbing the Ranks in Civil Services

Priyal's journey in civil services began in 2019, when she secured the 19th rank in the state services exam, earning a position as District Registrar. Unsatisfied, she continued striving for a higher designation.

In 2020, she achieved the 34th rank, becoming Assistant Commissioner in the Cooperative Department. Determined to reach her ultimate goal, she reappeared in 2021 and finally secured her dream role as Deputy Collector.

Aspirations Beyond Deputy Collector

Priyal's ambition does not end here. She aims to become an IAS officer and is preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations while serving in her current role.
